Large airy sitting rooms, loggias and library areas packed with interesting books and furnished with traditional old South African pieces welcome visitors to the Cape of Good Hope. The two and a half acres of grounds with towering old Oaks, Planes, Camellias of many shades, Cinnamon Camphors, Chestnuts and Silver Trees provide tranquil shady refuges during the hot summer days. At each end of the property there are salt water swimming pools surrounded by lawns. Rose gardens, indigenous proteas, restios and aloes blend together along the interesting paths.
Nicki and Tim Scarborough have owned the original property for the past two decades. Nicki is of French Huguenot stock and Tim is originally from Jersey, Channel Islands, having emigrated to South Africa in 1963.
The two properties comprise two Guest Houses, a Cottage with two bedrooms, and the owners' separate dwelling.
